Oppo A83 smartphone expected to launch in India this month: Report
NEW DELHI: We are not even two weeks into the new year and smartphone makers are already gearing up for their new launches. Recently, Samsung launched its mid-segment Galaxy A8 smartphone in India while Gionee also announced the launch of its next generation smartphone. Now, another Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is planning to launch its next budget smartphone in India.
According to an online report, Oppo is planning to launch its A83 smartphone in India as early as next week. The report further adds that the device will fall under the price bracket of Rs 15,000.

The company launched the same smartphone in China last year. This is the first budget smartphone of the company to come with the face unlock feature which the company introduced in its flagship smartphone Oppo F5.
The Oppo A85 comes with a 5.7-inch HD+ full screen display with 720x1440 pixel resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The device runs Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core processor.
The smartphone comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB by adding a microSD card. The device comes with hybrid dual SIM functionality and measures 150.5 x 73.1 x 7.7mm. The device is backed by a 3180mAh battery and comes equipped with a rear mounted fingerprint sensor. The smartphone boasts of a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front shooter for selfies. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-FI, Bluetooth and GPS.
Last month, Oppo launched its F5 Youth smartphone in India at Rs 16,990. The USP of the smartphone is its front camera. The smartphone comes with a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Like the earlier launched Oppo F5 the smartphone comes with AI beauty recognition technology. Using the technology, the smartphone can scan up to 200 facial recognition spots that help in beautifying the selfie. Along with this, the users can also use the front camera to unlock the device.
